This past weekend yielded another successful bar mitzvah! With a modern, hip, black & white design scheme and just a hint of “soccer” thrown in, Justin’s celebration was a kickin’ party to be sure. {Photos: Susan Beard Design}
A simple referree-inspired black and white stripe fabric became the leading design element that we carried throughout the party. Green was introduced in flowers, fresh wheat grass, pillows and lighting elements for a pop of color.
One of the most interesting elements of the decor was the custom “fat head” portraits we created of the mitzvah boy himself. With the help of talented photographer, Susan Beard, photos taken of Justin at a soccer match were made into life-sized 3-D portraits which we hung on truss frames throughout the event space. We understand they’re now hanging all around Justin’s bedroom walls. Too cool! Other photos of Justin were used on the plasma screens as well as on table numbers and food station signage.
