On June 6, Lauren and Peter were married in a gorgeous ceremony at Philadelphia’s historic Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. The celebration was held just across the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at the uber luxe Four Seasons Hotel. Award-winning photographer, Cliff Mautner, captured the magnificence of the church as well as the pure joy of the day.
The color palette for the ‘vintage glam” wedding included ivory, cream, ecru, white, champagne, blush pink and antique gold. The incredible gold lace-like invitation by Two Paperdolls inspired our event design in many ways.
After the grand ceremony at the Basilica, guests entered the courtyard through monogrammed doors and were greeted by impeccable Four Seasons’ waitstaff bearing silver trays laden with Veuve Clicquot.
As usual, Eric Allen, the Assistant Catering Director of the Four Seasons Hotel, was very involved in the planning of this wedding and it showed in all the fine details of the day. For our part, we placed ornate white and mirrored furniture groupings on the lawn and terraces, as well as in the ballroom foyer.
Elements of the invitation were also used in the lighting projections displayed around the perimeter of the ballroom, on the center of the glossy white dance floor, and again on the formal cake designed by the always creative Truli Confectionary Arts.
