AS SEEN ON WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY.
1200 sexy Lucite chairs later, we can say the Philadelphia University Fashion Show just gets better and better! Yet another very sleek, very BIGTIME fabulous, fashion event in the City of Brotherly Love to rival all others in the Big Apple and beyond! Creativity lives in our youth and Evantine Design couldn’t be more thrilled to set the stage, literally, for their talent to shine!
Produced by fashion design, merchandising and management students, the Philadelphia University Fashion Show is a spectacular showcase of student work. Held this past Thursday at one of Philadelphia’s uniquest post-industrial event spaces, Moulin at Sherman Mills, and hosted by Carson Kressley, a member of Philadelphia University’s board of trustees and honorary chair of the event, the Fashion Show boasted a combined audience of more than 1,200 industry representatives, alumni and friends. This year, senior fashion design students collaborated with textile design students to create custom print, woven and knit fabrics made in the school’s state-of-the-art textile studios. About half of the night’s 250 looks incorporated these one-of-a-kind fabrics.
We congratulate the winners and applaud their creativity! We also thank our event partners Eventions Productions, Brulee Catering and Moulin at Sherman Mills for all their hard work in making this event come to life! Here’s a look behind the scenes at how over several days we transformed an empty loft space into one sophisticated runway setting!
