A Tropical Paradise: 35th Annual Ball on the Square
Organized by the Friends of Rittenhouse Square and held in the center of the Square, the Ball on the Square is a black-tie summer soiree that raises funds to support the preservation and maintenance of Rittenhouse Square Park. Like many other Philadelphians, we look forward to the Ball on the Square as it starts the summer social season in style!
We’ve designed over 20 of the past BOTS galas and always look forward to collaborating with the event chairs and committees on the annual tented event. This year, we designed the ball as a tropical garden fantasy inspired by the Victorian conservatories found in the finest botanical gardens around the world. Upon arrival, guests stepped into a decadent greenhouse filled with tropical plants, palm trees, orchids, and bright summer blooms. Long dinner tables dressed in luxurious gold and ivory linens and set with fine china, cut crystal stemware, and gilded chairs completed the formal look. Add some fabulous entertainment by the Eddie Bruce Orchestra and an unbelievable culinary experience by Neuman’s Kitchen and it was an evening to be remembered!

About the Ball on the Square
Held annually on the third Thursday of June, the Ball on The Square is the Friends of Rittenhouse Square’s largest fundraising event. The Ball on The Square is an annual formal gala with magical ambiance, an elegant sit-down dinner, fabulous music, and dancing. Held under a large tent in the center of the Square, the Ball transforms the park into a sparkling ballroom for one night. It attracts notable Philadelphians including industry leaders, philanthropists, business executives, politicians, and long-time residents of the Square. The Ball is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious events on the Philadelphia social calendar. Invitations are sent out to members in mid-spring. Tickets are required for admittance.
